What we love about this stay
Get yourself up to the rooftop before golden hour — the Potomac turns molten around 7 p.m. in summer, and with the fire pit lit and the eight-top set for dinner, it's genuinely one of the best private perches near DC. Book the in-house chef for that evening; cooking below deck wastes the light. Mornings, skip the Nespresso rush and take your coffee topside — the marina is dead quiet before nine, and you'll catch herons working the shoreline. If you're planning anything beyond the boat, grab the Water Taxi to Old Town Alexandria for a proper dinner rather than defaulting to National Harbor's strip. The rear bedroom sits closer to the waterline, so the river sounds are more present at night — pair that with the Parachute linens and you'll sleep unreasonably well. This stay rewards people who slow down.

The National Harbor FLOHOM was an amazing place to stay. The view of national harbor from the water alone was breathtaking. The boat itself was total luxury from the beds, furniture, to the kitchen supplies and amenities, internet, speaker system, roof deck and more. <br/>We had a truly amazing time even though our stay coincided with a string of single digit temperature days that froze the water supply to the boat. Brian was on site for check-in and working to try to fix the issue the whole day and when it was clear it wouldn’t come back on the first day but that we still wanted to go ahead with the stay, Brian sprang into action and got us all the water and other supplies we could need to make our stay as relaxing as possible. That combined with a marina office complete with private restroom and shower facilities still made it a tremendous three nights. We can’t wait to be back!
