Great space in a great location! Driveway successfully fits a 21' van, and street parking was plentiful. Right off Hawthorne, so tons of things to do right there.

There is a particular pleasure in stepping through a door and feeling immediately oriented. The MidCentury Dream 2BR delivers that rare clarity: a two-bedroom residence where the architecture itself seems to exhale. Clean lines, warm wood tones, and an open floor plan speak to a design era that prized function as much as beauty. The midcentury aesthetic here is not a mood board exercise but a lived-in expression of the period, with furnishings and spatial flow that honor the style without turning the home into a museum.
The layout accommodates small groups and couples with equal ease. Two bedrooms offer privacy and comfort, while shared living spaces encourage the kind of unhurried gathering that vacation rentals do best. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking, not just reheating, giving you the freedom to shop locally and eat at your own pace. Natural light moves through the space generously, a hallmark of the era's commitment to connecting interior life with the world just outside the windows.
What sets this residence apart is its relationship to the street. A Walk Score of 95 is not a marketing flourish. It means that cafés, restaurants, shops, and daily essentials sit within a comfortable stroll. You can leave the car behind entirely, spending mornings on foot with coffee in hand and evenings walking home from dinner. The surrounding neighborhood rewards curiosity, and the residence places you at its center without sacrificing quiet or seclusion.
The MidCentury Dream 2BR is managed by Stay Portland, and it carries the careful attention of a boutique hospitality team rather than an anonymous rental platform. The result is a stay that feels both independent and looked after. You set the rhythm. You decide when to explore and when to stay in. But the bones of the home, the thoughtfulness of the design, and the proximity to everything worth reaching on foot create a kind of ease that lingers well after checkout. It is the feeling of a place that fits, without a single thing out of place.

There's a particular kind of quiet confidence to a place that commits fully to a design language without turning it into a costume. This Hawthorne home feels genuinely inhabited by its mid-century aesthetic—the clean lines, the organic forms, the locally sourced wood and custom cabinetry all suggest someone who cares deeply about provenance and craft, not just visual effect. It's a distinctly Portland sensibility: the bespoke cabinet pulls manufactured in the Northwest, the coffee from a local roaster, the whole ecosystem of intentional choices that root you in this specific city rather than a generic version of stylish travel. What stays with you is the tension between the neighborhood's eclectic energy just outside and the calm restraint inside—a home that borrows from the 1960s but never feels nostalgic, only considered.

We loved our stay at Jordan’s place! The location and neighborhood were great, with so many fun things to do and places to dine nearby. The home was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The parking spot was a plus, too.

The place was clean and easy to access. The location was phenomenal with the New Seasons grocery store less than a half-block away.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was comfortable and set up well. The neighborhood is awesome, with lots of shops, bars, restaurants, shopping within walking distance along Hawthorne and older homes with great gardens on the side streets. it was nice to have off street parking also. Jordan was a communicative host.
