Really enjoyed the stay.

The approach alone signals a shift in pace. Flohom 8 is the kind of residence that announces itself not with grandeur but with openness, its interiors and terraces oriented toward an unbroken sweep of sky and landscape visible from nearly every angle. Floor-to-ceiling windows and generous outdoor spaces frame 360-degree views that change character with the light, turning mornings golden and evenings into something worth staying up for. The design language is boho chic in the truest sense: layered textiles, natural materials, and curated furnishings that feel collected rather than coordinated, creating warmth without fuss.
Inside, the residence unfolds with a relaxed but considered layout. Living spaces are designed for gathering and unwinding in equal measure, with comfortable seating areas that open naturally onto outdoor terraces. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests who prefer to cook at their own rhythm, making the property equally suited to quiet solo stays and longer group retreats. Bedrooms carry the same textured, earthy palette found throughout, with soft linens and an emphasis on comfort over formality. The overall effect is a home that feels personal and lived-in rather than staged.
What distinguishes Flohom 8 from a conventional rental is the intentionality behind every detail. The terraces serve as true extensions of the living space, furnished for lounging, dining, or simply sitting with a coffee while the panorama shifts around you. There is a stillness here that invites you to settle into slower routines: late breakfasts, afternoons spent reading in a patch of sun, evenings where conversation stretches on because no one is in a hurry to leave the table. The property is designed to make staying in feel like the most compelling option.
You leave Flohom 8 with the particular feeling of having been somewhere rather than merely having slept somewhere. The views stay with you, but so does the texture of the place itself: the grain of the wood, the way the breeze moves through the terrace, the quiet satisfaction of a space that asked nothing of you except to be present.

Position yourself in the living area around 7 p.m. when the light turns golden and the Potomac catches it—those floor-to-ceiling windows become the best show in National Harbor, no ticket required. Stock the gourmet kitchen before you arrive; a late breakfast cooked here, with the terrace doors open and boat traffic drifting below, beats any restaurant in the district. Skip the Capital Wheel during peak hours—ride it at dusk instead, then come back to the terrace with something cold. This place rewards you most when you resist the urge to leave it.

I have stayed at a lot of AirBnBs, but this one was special. So cool, and so comfortable. I absolutely loved this little houseboat, and will definitely try to reserve it again.

This was an awesome and different experience. Everything about the Flohom was top notch. All the boxes for guests to have a great experience were checked when designing this place. All the high end amenities were a nice compliment to the stay. The thoughtfulness behind making the journey to where the Flohom is docked was very much appreciated. I can’t think of a better way for them to have done it in a place like the National Harbor. The views from the deck were absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to stay in a Flohom again. Hats off to Brian and Josh!
