What we love about this stay
Broad Beach is the quieter, more private stretch of Malibu — and this house earns its address. Take the MOKE down to Lechuza Beach around 6 p.m.; the access point is uncrowded and the light at that hour turns the cliffs amber. The herb garden outside the kitchen is genuinely useful — clip rosemary and thyme before grilling, then eat outside on the grass rather than at the dining table. It's a different meal entirely. For sleeping, grab the ocean-facing bedroom; the wave sound is unfiltered and you'll wake slowly, which is the whole point. Stock the popcorn machine for after sunset — kids won't forget it, and honestly, neither will you.
