The land announces itself before the architecture does. Boynton Canyon rises in every direction, its red sandstone formations shifting between terracotta and deep amber as the light moves across the sky. Enchantment Resort sits within this cathedral of rock, a 70-acre property nestled at the base of the canyon where the high desert floor meets towering cliff walls. The buildings are low-slung and earth-toned, designed to echo rather than compete with the landscape. Arrival here feels less like checking into a hotel and more like crossing a threshold into a geological world that predates everything around it by millions of years.
Accommodations are spread across the property in casita-style rooms and suites, many featuring private decks, adobe-style fireplaces, and views that open directly onto the canyon walls or the resort's landscaped grounds. The layout encourages a sense of spaciousness and solitude, with pathways winding between buildings, native plantings, and natural rock formations. Larger suites offer full living areas and outdoor spaces suited to longer stays. The scale of the property allows guests to feel a genuine sense of privacy without ever being far from the resort's core amenities.
Dining anchors the daily rhythm. Che Ah Chi, the resort's signature restaurant, serves Southwestern-inspired cuisine with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the canyon at sunset, a room where the landscape becomes inseparable from the meal. Tii Gavo, more casual in spirit, offers patio seating and a menu rooted in regional flavors, well suited to afternoons that stretch into evening. The resort's pool area provides a gathering point during warmer months, set against the canyon backdrop with a quality of stillness that feels rare. Mii amo, the on-site destination spa, operates as a deeply intentional wellness experience within the resort grounds. Its programming draws on both contemporary wellness practices and the spiritual traditions associated with Boynton Canyon, one of Sedona's most recognized energy vortex sites. Treatments, movement classes, and guided outdoor experiences form a holistic offering that goes well beyond a typical resort spa.
Beyond the property's borders, Sedona's network of hiking trails extends in every direction, with trailheads accessible from the resort itself. The surrounding red rock country offers mountain biking, stargazing, and access to some of the most photographed landscapes in the American Southwest. Enchantment Resort functions as both a base for exploration and a destination that rewards those who never leave the grounds. The canyon holds a particular quality of silence, broken only by wind and birdsong, that settles into the hours here. It is not a backdrop. It is the experience itself.

What we love about this stay
There's something about the way this place sits within Boynton Canyon — not perched above it, not carved into it, but genuinely part of it. The architecture follows the curves and ochre tones of the surrounding rock, so the built environment never competes with the landscape. Juniper and sage drift through the air, and the vistas from your balcony aren't decorative backdrops — they're the whole point, shifting in color and mood from dawn to deep night. The dining feels considered rather than showy, with four distinct venues rooted in Southwest ingredients and a cocktail culture that leans into the setting. What lingers, though, is the night sky — Sedona's clarity turns stargazing into something genuinely arresting, not a programmed activity but a quiet reckoning with scale. It's a property that earns the word 'grounding' without ever feeling heavy.

I had an absolutely magical birthday celebration with my family. Our dog especially LOVED the gorgeous property and the endless love + treats provided by the amazing staff. We loved the delicious food and daily juices + snacks provided. The room and bed were super comfortable. We enjoyed just resting + renewing with Nature. Our nervous systems were definitely in a space of harmony. Everything was spectacular during our stay. Thank you, Enchantment!! I can’t wait to return for a THIRD birthday celebration. <3
