Hideout Hotels
The drive narrows, the canopy thickens, and by the time you arrive at Cabin Retreat w/ Sauna, Fire Pits, Hot Tub & Golf, the world you left behind already feels distant. This is a property designed around the simple, deliberate pleasures of being outdoors: wood smoke, warm water, cold air, and long stretches of nothing in particular to do. The cabin itself is built for comfort rather than ceremony, with interiors that lean into the warmth of natural materials and a layout that encourages gathering as much as solitude.
Outside is where the property truly comes alive. A hot tub offers a place to settle in after a day spent exploring, while multiple fire pits create natural gathering points once the sun drops. The sauna adds a welcome layer of wellness to the experience, the kind of amenity that transforms an overnight stay into something that registers physically. For those looking for activity rather than stillness, a golf area on property provides a unexpected but welcome diversion, a reason to step out into the open air with purpose. The balance between active and restorative is easy here, never prescribed.
The cabin accommodations are designed with a residential sensibility. This is not a hotel room distilled into efficient square footage but a genuine home, complete with kitchen facilities, communal living spaces, and the kind of unhurried atmosphere that only a private residence can offer. Mornings might start with coffee brewed in your own kitchen, afternoons might dissolve into a book on the porch, and evenings almost always circle back to one of those fire pits, where conversation tends to stretch longer than anyone planned.
What stays with you is the rhythm of the place. There are no check-in desks, no lobby music, no scheduled programming. Instead, there is the particular freedom of a well-appointed cabin that gives you everything you need and then steps back entirely. The sauna steams, the hot tub hums, the fire crackles. You set the pace, and the property simply holds the space for it.

There's a maximalist warmth here that feels genuinely rare in a cabin setting — rich textures and considered opulence packed into 450 square feet without a trace of clutter or pretension. The Caney operates on the premise that wilderness and design indulgence aren't opposites but collaborators, and the result is a space that feels both intimate and expansive. Outside your door, the private hot tub and wood-burning fire pit aren't decorative touches — they reshape your evenings entirely, turning idle hours into something you actually remember. The shared grounds have a similar intentionality: a barrel sauna followed by a cold plunge, a pizza maker under open sky, a converted Shasta camper repurposed as a library. It's the kind of place where you slip into rituals you didn't plan, where the communal fire pit pulls strangers into real conversation, and where the unobstructed night sky does more for you than any curated experience could.

What a magical place! So many AMAZING things to say about this space! We were visiting our son at Tennessee Tech. A great escape close enough to enjoy the campus but then you felt a million miles away once you got to the property! We will be back in May!!! Wonderful experience!!

Incredible well thought out multi-cabin retreat. Plenty to do. Fantastic common areas with plenty of privacy. Cabins were beautiful and very well laid out. Will absolutely be back!

Our stay at Hideout Hotels is simply amazing! It was like a breath of fresh air the second we pulled onto the property. Instructions were clear, the cabin was spotless and the details were immaculate. The amenities were very thought out so you really don’t have to leave the area unless you want to. I’ve been recommending to all our family & friends & hoping to plan a couples retreat here in the near future! Can’t wait to be back!
