The road into Bath County narrows through the Allegheny highlands, where the ridgelines soften and the air carries the particular quiet of a valley that has drawn travelers for centuries. Here, just one mile from the storied Omni Homestead Resort, 1 Mile to Omni Homestead w/ 5 suites + Gameroom stands as a full-scale private residence built for groups seeking both togetherness and room to spread out. This is not a hotel experience distilled into a single room. It is an entire house, designed to host families, friend groups, and multi-generational gatherings with the kind of space and flexibility that makes a week feel unhurried.
The property offers five distinct suites, each configured as a private bedroom with its own bathroom, giving every guest a sense of personal retreat within the larger home. Common areas are generous and built for gathering. A dedicated game room anchors the social life of the house, offering a place to linger long after dinner without retreating to separate corners. The layout encourages the kind of slow, communal rhythm that vacation rentals promise but rarely deliver. Kitchens, living spaces, and dining areas give groups the freedom to cook together, eat on their own schedule, and settle into routines that feel entirely their own.
The proximity to Hot Springs, Virginia, and the Omni Homestead places you within easy reach of one of the oldest resort destinations in the American South. The Homestead's golf courses, thermal springs, and seasonal programming are all minutes away, offering the option to dip into a more curated resort experience without committing to it full-time. Beyond the resort, Bath County itself rewards those who explore. The George Washington and Jefferson National Forests press in from every direction, and the region's back roads, hiking trails, and small-town character give the surrounding landscape a personality that feels both historic and deeply rural.
What stays with you is the proportion of the thing. Five suites under one roof, a game room that keeps the group together, and a location that puts serious mountain recreation and thermal waters just down the road. 1 Mile to Omni Homestead w/ 5 suites + Gameroom works because it gives a large group what no hotel block can: a single address, a shared living room, and the privacy to make the trip feel like home.

What strikes you first isn't the scale of the place—though five suites with king beds and private baths make it genuinely spacious—it's the feeling of being tucked into Virginia's mountain country with room to breathe and no reason to rush. The house has a layered warmth to it: three distinct living areas, a fireplace that anchors the evenings, and a game room with a wet bar that gives groups a place to drift without scattering. It's the kind of property that rewards gathering—a formal dining room that invites real conversation, a gourmet kitchen built for someone who actually cooks. And the proximity to The Omni Homestead's golf courses and the Old Dairy's pool, hot tub, and sauna means you never feel isolated from the region's best offerings. It suits people who want a private home base but not a private bubble.
