I booked the house for my husband’s birthday and the location and the house were gorgeous. We had a really good time and I really recommend this house.

The approach to The Raven sets the tone before you even step inside. This is a residence built around a single, commanding relationship: the one between water and sky. The pool stretches out wide and inviting, its surface catching the light of surrounding mountain ridges that shift from golden to violet as the day unfolds. The architecture is modern and confident, designed to dissolve the boundary between interior comfort and the landscape beyond. Floor-to-ceiling windows and open sightlines ensure that the mountains are never far from view, whether you are standing in the kitchen, settling into the living room, or waking in the morning light.
The heart of the home is its outdoor living space. The pool, expansive and well-positioned, serves as the property's defining feature, a place where mornings begin slowly and afternoons stretch long. Surrounding the water, generous deck space offers room for lounging, gathering, and simply watching the mountains do what they do best. Inside, the residence is thoughtfully appointed with clean, contemporary furnishings and a layout that accommodates both togetherness and privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who prefer to cook at home, and living areas are spacious enough to feel genuinely relaxed rather than decoratively staged. Bedrooms are comfortable and quietly finished, each oriented to take advantage of the natural surroundings.
What distinguishes The Raven from a standard vacation rental is its sense of intention. This is not a house that happens to have a pool. It is a property designed around the experience of being outdoors, of spending unhurried hours in warm air with a panorama that rewards your attention. The mountain views are not incidental. They are the architecture's organizing principle, shaping every window placement, every sightline, every threshold between inside and out.
You leave The Raven with the particular contentment that comes from days lived mostly outside, from water still cool on your skin and the last of the light settling across distant ridges. It is the kind of place that recalibrates your pace, not through luxury in any formal sense, but through the simple, unimprovable pleasure of a beautiful pool, open sky, and mountains that ask nothing of you but your presence.

The Raven has the energy of a place that knows exactly what it is — desert, mountain, quiet drama — and doesn't try to oversell any of it. The interiors lean into Pioneertown's rustic cultural heritage without tipping into theme, and there's a bespoke bar in the lounge that feels like it was built for unhurried evenings with people you actually like. What sets the mood here is the tension between vastness and intimacy: the pool reflects that enormous sky, the San Bernardino Mountains frame everything, and yet the spaces feel gathered and personal. Being a walk from Pappy & Harriet's and a short drive from Joshua Tree doesn't hurt either — it places you at the intersection of solitude and something happening. It's the kind of stay that imprints itself quietly.

Extremely gorgeous and serene home. Stunning views and fun nod to western Americana. Great break from the city :)

I loved my stay at the house!! It was beautifulllll. I did think the price was a bit too expensive for a two night stay. One thing I would suggest is getting new pans as the non stick ones have a lot of scratches on them and that is toxic to cook in!
