Weathered timber and handcrafted solitude at a retreat made entirely from salvage

I had a great time at this cozy little house. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, whether it was hot or cold outside. The heating and air conditioning worked well, and they even provided us with two bundles of firewood.<br/>The location is amazing, and the view from the hot tub is stunning. Everything was clean, tidy, and private. One thing we didn't notice was that the sauna is shared, so we had to take turns using it. However, it wasn't a problem at all, and we were able to enjoy it as much as we wanted. The view from the sauna is incredible—definitely the best spot for it!<br/>The ice bath was also fantastic, and we really enjoyed it. The grill was new, filled up, and cleaned, and there was even extra propane. Plus, they provided coffee for the coffee maker - I totally missed that in my preps. Overall, a wonderful experience and we will be coming back for sure! Might try other cabins though - they all look so different and special - we're just too curious to try it out!

Nick was super welcoming and wrote helpful instructions for check in. The O’Neil cabin sits on the Sky river, which made for a beautiful and peaceful stay. Just a 5 minute drive to Wallace Falls State Park and Lake Serene trails, this place was a perfect launchpad for our two days of hiking. The hot tub worked perfectly and was a great way to take in the evening sunsets. One recommendation for future guests is to download an offline map of the area—it made getting around a breeze. Hope the next guests enjoy as much as we did!

We stayed at the O’Neil cabin for 3 nights and loved every second of it! The property is absolutely breathtaking and the amenities made us feel cozy and comfortable. The access to the riverfront straight from the back yard was perfect - we went for several dunks - and coming back to a nice dip in the hot tub was perfect. We had a few campfires out back while we grilled and then played some of the many provided tabletop games later at night. It was a perfect stay all around and we will definitely be coming back! We absolutely loved the O’Neill cabin and its location right on the river. The views and the sound of the water were so peaceful & serene! The cabin offered everything we needed for the perfect nature retreat. Nick was friendly, attentive and quick to respond to our questions. We enjoyed exploring the Trillium Trails right on the property, a delicious lunch at the local Bush House Inn and a fun stop at The Espresso Chalet. Can’t wait to return to Index Cabins!
