The perfect location, right off Kings street and easy walk everywhere! Listing is as pictured, we had 8 and felt comfortable.

Stay Duvet
King Street has a way of announcing itself. The storefronts are narrow and colorful, the sidewalks are busy with purpose, and the architecture carries the particular confidence of a city that has never needed to reinvent itself. Somewhere along this stretch, tucked into the fabric of one of Charleston's most celebrated corridors, the Hampton Suite offers a different way to experience the Holy City: not from a lobby or a check-in desk, but from a residence that feels like it belongs to you.
The suite is a self-contained one-bedroom space designed for comfort and independence. A full kitchen invites you to shop the nearby markets and cook at your own pace, while the living area provides a place to decompress after long afternoons spent wandering the historic district. The bedroom is set up for rest, and the layout of the suite gives the impression of a proper apartment rather than a hotel room pressed into service. Everything here is oriented toward ease. You have your own entrance, your own rhythm, your own version of Charleston.
Location is the defining luxury of this property. King Street is Charleston's central artery for dining, shopping, galleries, and nightlife, and the Hampton Suite places you directly within it. The historic City Market, waterfront parks, and the cobblestone lanes of the French Quarter are all within walking distance. Restaurants line the surrounding blocks in every direction. There is no need to plan around transportation or logistics. You simply step outside and the city is already happening around you.
What stays with you after a visit to the Hampton Suite is the feeling of having lived in Charleston rather than merely visited. The mornings are unhurried. The evenings begin with a walk, not a shuttle. The suite gives you permission to settle in, to let the city come to you on its own terms, and to carry home something closer to memory than itinerary.

What strikes you first is the tension between classic and current — a suite that feels rooted in Charleston's sense of tradition while clearly designed for the way people actually travel now, in groups, with people they like. Settled into the Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood along King Street, it carries the energy of a place where the city's best restaurants and galleries are genuinely at your doorstep, not a cab ride away. The space accommodates up to ten without feeling like a compromise, which says something about how thoughtfully it's laid out. It's the kind of stay that works for a long weekend with friends or a family gathering where everyone needs their own corner to decompress. And being steps from places like The Darling Oyster Bar or Callie's Hot Little Biscuit means dinner plans happen spontaneously, which is when Charleston is at its best.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. It was very spacious and clean. It felt like home. Once we figured out the codes everything was smooth. There a little to do near by and it pretty quiet . It’s downtown and still very safe and quiet. Plenty of parking spots.

We had a wonderful stay at a fantastic place in a beautiful city. Excellent location, clean, spacious and nicely decorated 'home'/condo and StayDuvet (the host/property management team) were awesome to work with from addressing a question before booking all the way to and thru the end of our stay.
Parking behind the property was easy to get in/out, well lit, spacious, always had spaces available when we stayed (weeknights). We loved being able to walk out straight onto King Street too - you don't have to walk through the rear parking lot and around the block/connected buildings to get there.
Can't imagine booking anywhere else on a return to the Holy City; the Hampton Suite was just perfect for us!
