Despite my super last minute reservation, StayDuvet came through during the late hours. I would highly recommend staying at one of their properties

Stay Duvet
The Manhattan | Sip Back and Relax announces its intentions from the name alone. This is a residence designed around the ritual of unwinding, a space where the bar cart is as considered as the bedding and the atmosphere leans into the unhurried cadence of a well-made drink. The interiors carry a sense of curated warmth, styled with personality and a distinct point of view that feels more collected than decorated. There is a confidence to the space, an assurance that comfort and character need not compete.
The layout is designed for guests who want to settle in rather than simply check in. Living areas are generous enough for gathering, with seating arranged to encourage conversation or quiet evenings spent doing very little at all. The kitchen is equipped for those who prefer to cook on their own terms, whether that means a full meal or simply assembling something light between outings. Bedrooms are appointed with care, balancing softness with a clean, modern sensibility that keeps things feeling fresh. Thoughtful touches throughout the residence suggest a host who understands that the smallest details often carry the most weight.
The name speaks to a cocktail-inspired ethos that runs through the property's identity. This is a place that celebrates the art of slowing down, of treating an evening at home as its own kind of occasion. Whether you arrive with a bottle of something worth savoring or discover the well-stocked bar setup waiting for you, the residence encourages a particular kind of leisure. It is social without being performative, relaxed without being careless.
What stays with you after a visit to The Manhattan is the particular rhythm it invites. Mornings move at whatever pace you set. Afternoons unfold without agenda. And evenings return, reliably, to that central pleasure: a good drink, a comfortable seat, and nowhere else you need to be.

There's something appealing about a place that doesn't try to buffer you from the city — it just elevates your position within it. This third-floor perch above Upper King Street puts you right in the thick of Charleston's energy while keeping the suite itself quiet, refined, and deliberately intimate. The open-concept space has a considered design sensibility, contemporary but warmly textured, with curated artwork that nods to the city's layered history without being precious about it. It's scaled for two, which matters — there's no wasted grandeur here, just a thoughtful cocoon that makes a slow morning with coffee feel as intentional as stepping out to one of the celebrated restaurants just below your door. The three-flight walk-up is part of the character, honestly — it keeps things unhurried and a little personal, like staying at a well-kept secret rather than a lobby-driven operation.

This was our second time staying in downtown Charleston at a StayDuvet property, and it was another excellent experience. We had one issue come up that they resolved immediately for us, putting our minds at ease. Would absolutely stay again!

StayDuvet was the PERFECT place for my wife and I to go for my birthday. They went the extra mile to <br/>Develop a day to day itinerary for us to use or not use. Multiple times I sent a text asking about local places and they were very responsive. We will definitely be staying again in the future.
