Stay Duvet
Gardenia Suite B arrives without fanfare. There is no grand lobby, no concierge desk, no orchestrated first impression. Instead, the experience begins with something quieter: a private entrance, a thoughtfully arranged interior, and the sense that every detail has been considered by someone who genuinely cares about how a guest moves through a space. This is a residence in the truest sense, designed not to impress but to hold your attention gently, offering comfort that reveals itself slowly over the course of a stay.
The suite itself is a self-contained retreat. Clean lines and a warm, edited palette set the tone, with furnishings that feel curated rather than staged. A well-appointed kitchen invites you to settle in on your own terms, whether that means a morning coffee ritual or a quiet dinner prepared at your own pace. The living area opens naturally into a space built for rest, with a bedroom that prioritizes softness and calm. Bedding is generous, lighting is considered, and the overall layout encourages a rhythm that slows you down without asking you to stop entirely. A private bathroom rounds out the suite with modern fixtures and the kind of understated details that make a short stay feel like a longer one.
What distinguishes Gardenia Suite B is not a list of amenities but an approach. The residence operates with the independence of a private apartment and the care of a thoughtful host. You are given space to be anonymous, to arrive and depart on your own schedule, and to treat the suite as your own. There is a self-sufficiency here that appeals to travelers who prefer autonomy over service, who want a clean and beautiful place to return to at the end of a day spent exploring, working, or simply doing nothing at all.
The feeling Gardenia Suite B leaves behind is one of proportion. Nothing is oversized or overwrought. The rooms are right. The quiet is real. And the memory that lingers is not of a particular feature or flourish but of a few unhurried days spent in a space that asked for nothing in return.

What strikes you first is the quiet confidence of a place that doesn't try to be a hotel — it's a proper suite tucked into Cannonborough/Elliotborough, one of Charleston's more textured neighborhoods, where the pace feels genuinely residential rather than tourist-polished. The renovation is contemporary but never fights the Southern bones of the space; rooms feel considered rather than staged, blending warmth with a clean design sensibility that respects where it sits. It's scaled for groups or families who actually want to be together — four bedrooms, a real kitchen — without sacrificing intimacy. King Street is a ten-minute walk, close enough to feel connected but far enough that you return to something calmer. That distance is the whole point.

Our group had a fantastic stay! Really close to shopping and restaurants. Super responsive and helpful staff.

Reserved two StayDuvet locations that shared a courtyard with hot tub and nice outdoor space. The homes were both well appointed, clean, and matched the descriptions of what was on Airbnb. Would recommend.

This cute little gem was such a good find! I was able to walk to a cute little hair salon in less than 2 minutes from the house. There were cool little restaurants within walking distance. The home itself was so charming. We had everything we needed! I even looked at the tags on the pillows before we left because I need them for my home! I slept like a baby! Everyone has plenty of space, and we all had our own bathroom! The layout and the way the home is decorated makes you think you’re in your home. The home is newly renovated and beautifully done! We had a great experience with Stay Duvet as well. All the employees there that I communicated with during our stay were incredible. Everything was seamless and they def went the extra mile for us. We would stay here again next time we’re in Charleston.

Beautiful, well-appointed, spacious house in a historic neighborhood with comfortable beds, and lovely outside areas (yes, plural).
