A columned white façade rises along one of London's most storied crescents, its Georgian proportions unmistakable against the canopy of mature plane trees that line the street. AKA White House occupies a landmark building in the heart of the West End, where Regent's Park, Fitzrovia, and Marylebone converge in a neighborhood defined by architectural elegance and an unhurried sense of arrival. The building's classical exterior gives way to interiors designed for a different kind of hotel stay, one built around residence rather than transience, where guests settle in rather than simply check in.
The accommodations at AKA White House are configured as fully equipped suites and apartments, each outfitted with full kitchens, dedicated living areas, and workspaces that allow for the rhythms of daily life. Studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residences offer generous proportions and a design vocabulary rooted in contemporary restraint, with clean lines, muted palettes, and carefully considered furnishings that feel more like a well-appointed London flat than a traditional hotel room. Washer-dryers, premium linens, and curated pantry provisions reinforce the sense that these spaces are meant to be lived in. Whether the stay stretches across a long weekend or several months, the model privileges autonomy and comfort in equal measure.
Common spaces throughout the property encourage both productivity and leisure. A residents' lounge provides a place to gather or work beyond the walls of one's own suite, while a fitness center ensures daily routines remain uninterrupted. The property's concierge team operates with the attentiveness of a full-service hotel, offering restaurant recommendations, theater bookings, and local guidance that reflects genuine familiarity with the surrounding streets. The experience threads a careful line between hotel service and the independence of private residence.
The location itself is one of the property's most defining attributes. Steps from Great Portland Street and the green expanse of Regent's Park, AKA White House sits at the intersection of some of London's most compelling neighborhoods. The galleries and boutiques of Marylebone High Street unfold to the west, while the cultural institutions of Bloomsbury and the energy of Fitzrovia's dining scene stretch to the east and south. Oxford Circus, the West End theaters, and the quieter pleasures of the park's Inner Circle are all within easy reach on foot. It is a position that rewards both exploration and the simple pleasure of walking home through familiar streets.
What lingers about AKA White House is less any single gesture and more the cumulative effect of space, time, and place working together. This is a property designed for travelers who want London not as a spectacle but as something closer to a temporary home, with the freedom to cook breakfast at their own pace, leave for the theater, and return to a suite that feels distinctly theirs.

What we love about this stay
There's a particular calm here that feels earned rather than manufactured — the kind of quiet that only comes from being steps away from so much consequence and choosing, deliberately, to be a refuge from it. AKA White House trades on proximity to the corridors of power without performing any of the pomp; its marble floors and modern art set an atmosphere that's more composed urbanite than capital grandeur. The suites feel like someone's very well-appointed apartment rather than a hotel room, with real kitchens and marble baths that suggest longer stays and slower mornings. It suits the traveler who wants D.C. to feel like a home base, not a destination — someone here for a reason, not just a visit. What lingers is that rare sense of returning each evening to a place that actually settles you.

Wonderful suite in prime location . Everything. The suite was large, very clean, warm and very comfortable. Lots of hot water, excellent water pressure in shower, very comfortable large bed, lots of storage space, walk in wardrobe , second toilet was useful. Full kitchen amenities with plenty of crockery & cutlery. The kitchen had everything necessary for a short or long term stay, even measuring cups. Property is in an excellent location and we felt comfortable and safe walking around. It is within easy reach of monuments and museums and if it is too far to walk there is a metro station 5 minutes walk away. Food store was about 15 minutes walk away. We couldn’t fault the suite and would most definitely recommend it. We wish we could have stayed longer.
