The lobby arrives on the twenty-fifth floor. That single architectural decision tells you nearly everything about the Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad. This is a hotel that begins where most others end, suspended above the dense, kinetic streets of one of Manhattan's most culturally charged neighborhoods. Housed within a slender residential tower at the intersection of Broadway and 28th Street, the property occupies floors twenty-five through thirty-nine, placing every guest room, every restaurant, and every gathering space squarely in the sky. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the interiors in an unbroken panorama of Midtown spires, the Empire State Building, and the downtown skyline beyond. The design throughout is warm and restrained, with residential-scale furnishings, muted palettes, and considered materiality that feels more like a collector's apartment than a conventional luxury hotel.
The 250 guest rooms and suites are among the most generously proportioned in the neighborhood, each oriented to capitalize on the building's height and its command of multiple sightlines across the city. Bathrooms are finished in marble with deep soaking tubs, and the overall sensibility leans toward quietude and comfort rather than spectacle. Suites expand into proper living spaces with separate seating areas, and many configurations offer corner exposures with dual-facing views. The effect is one of genuine privacy at altitude, a quality that is vanishingly rare in Manhattan.
Dining at the hotel is anchored by Nubeluz, a rooftop restaurant and bar that occupies the building's crown. The space draws a mix of hotel guests and city residents with a menu rooted in Mediterranean and Spanish influences, served against sweeping open-air views. Below, the hotel's lobby lounge functions as an intimate daytime and evening gathering point, its cocktail program and lighter fare designed for the kind of unhurried pause that the neighborhood's pace rarely permits. A full wellness offering rounds out the property, with a fitness center and spa services available to guests seeking recovery from the city or simply a slower register within it.
NoMad itself is a neighborhood defined by creative energy and constant reinvention. Bounded loosely by Madison Square Park to the south and the Garment District to the north, it holds some of the city's most compelling independent restaurants, galleries, and retail. The proximity to the park, with its mature canopy and seasonal programming, gives the area a rare softness within Midtown's grid. Yet the Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad never quite lets you forget that you are above it all, not removed from the city but held just at the right distance. The rhythm here is vertical rather than horizontal, a life measured in light, altitude, and the slow turn of the skyline from afternoon into evening.

What we love about this stay
There's something quietly confident about this hotel — it doesn't compete with NoMad's energy so much as absorb it, offering a register of calm that feels earned rather than manufactured. The soaring lobby sets a tone that's more art gallery than grand hotel, with design that nods to both Manhattan's history and its restless reinvention. Rooms frame the skyline with a kind of intimacy that makes the Empire State Building feel like a personal detail rather than a postcard. And then there's the garden — an improbable pocket of green among the skyscrapers, the kind of space that reminds you how rare stillness is in this city and how much better it feels when you stumble upon it rather than seek it out.

What an absolutely spectacular stay in Manhattan! Everything about The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad was wonderful. We stayed 3 glorious nights and were able to walk and/or taxi anywhere we needed to go. All of the restaurants and bars were phenomenal, and our room provided unparalleled views of the incredible city. Before and during our stay, Alyssa did absolutely everything she could to make sure our visit was special -- she more than delivered and made all the difference for us. The proximity to some really great local bakeries and bagels was an added bonus. We can't wait to return!

What can I say but this was pretty close to perfection. Location was central, and the vibe and decor knocked it out of the park. Room had a view like no other....all the way downtown with vistas of the entire lower part of Manhattan. Loved the bathroom, spa like. Ate at both restauants and neither dissapointed. BOOK this hotel!

I checked in here 1am christmas day after a nightmare st regis stay that we had to abandon and the staff was nothing short of amazing. The front desk was extremely nice and quick to check me in. The doorman was amazing, he ended up walking us up to our room, telling us what all the buildings we could see from our view are for, and even recommending local restaurants/bars. When I wanted hot chocolate they found a way to make it work. When I wanted to take a bath, they had bath salts delivered to me almost instantaneously. This place doesn't have a butler but you'll get more butler-like service here than you will at the st regis. This property turned my christmas vacation nightmare around for the better. THANK YOU!!!

Look, it is a Ritz so one comes to expect certain things and the Nomad does not disappoint. Staff, rooms, fitness center, restaurants are all excellent. Location is convenient to many sites by walking and right on the subway. My only complaint is that our rooms were not ready upon arrival even though we were there fairly late in the afternoon. However, it was a busy holiday and the staff worked hard to make us comfortable until the rooms were ready. Overall, an excellent hotel and stay.

The Ritz Carlton Nomad is a gorgeous hotel. Unfortunately its beauty did not make up for the very disappointing level of service that our family received during our four night stay over Christmas 2025. We booked several rooms on a high floor, however, when my husband and I arrived at 4pm, we were informed, rather nonchalantly and without apology, that our suite was not ready. We did not receive a text that it was available until 5:30. In the meantime, we went to the lobby bar to wait it out. I ordered a glass of Sancerre but when it arrived I realized that it was room temperature. The waitress offered me some ice. We ordered some snacks when we sat down that did not arrive until we were getting up at 5:30 to go to our room. Later, after our group of five had dinner at Zaytinya, we went up for our reservation at Nubeluz. The staff there was so standoffish. They stood together and spoke only to each other, ignoring us for the longest time. We finally left and went somewhere else. The next morning I called down to the front desk and asked to have a meeting with management. When I arrived at 10:15, the agreed upon time, no one seemed to know what I was talking about. I stood in the lobby while they searched for someone for me to speak with. My daughter and I needed to leave at 10:45. I assumed that I would receive a text or acknowledgement from management that they were sorry to have missed the meeting. Nothing. And on top of that, I never received a guest satisfaction survey. The bellmen were very friendly but everyone else was unwelcoming and disinterested, as though they have already been well received critically and don’t have anything to prove. I will never return to the Ritz Carlton Nomad and frankly, they have taken down the whole Ritz Carlton brand with them.
