The building announces itself long before you step inside. Rising at the edge of Denver's River North Art District, The Source Hotel is a study in industrial restraint, its raw concrete and steel framework echoing the converted warehouses and creative studios that define the neighborhood. The hotel sits directly above and adjacent to The Source, a curated market hall that has anchored RiNo's culinary and artisan identity since its earliest days. The architecture, designed by Dynia Architects, merges the hotel and marketplace into a single structure where hospitality, food, and local craft exist in genuine proximity rather than decorative arrangement.
One hundred rooms occupy the upper floors, each finished with polished concrete walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and custom furnishings that lean toward restrained modernism. Many rooms open onto views of the Denver skyline or the surrounding mountain horizon, and the material palette throughout favors honesty over ornament. Exposed ductwork, raw surfaces, and clean lines give each space a loft-like quality that feels native to its post-industrial context. The rooftop pool and hot tub sit on the hotel's top level, offering open-air views of the Front Range and downtown Denver, a gathering space that rewards the altitude with panoramic scale.
The Source Market Hall, accessible directly from the hotel, is the beating center of the property. Inside, a collection of independent vendors and restaurants creates a ground-floor ecosystem of food and drink that shifts naturally from morning to evening. New Belgium Brewing's The Woods operates as a dedicated taproom within the market hall, while Acorn anchors the culinary program with its wood-fired, vegetable-forward cooking. Smok offers barbecue rooted in whole-animal craft, and Babettes brings artisan bakery and pastry to the morning hours. Beyond the market hall, the hotel's own offerings include a lobby-level coffee bar and a rooftop bar where cocktails and mountain sunsets share equal billing.
RiNo surrounds the property with a density of street art, galleries, breweries, and independent studios that have made the district one of Denver's most culturally active neighborhoods. The location places you within walking distance of Larimer Street's creative corridor and a short ride from downtown, yet the neighborhood retains a character distinct from the city center. What The Source Hotel offers is not an escape from its setting but a deeper immersion in it. The building, the market, the rooftop, the neighborhood, they exist as layers of the same experience, each one reinforcing the idea that staying here means participating in the culture rather than observing it from a distance.

What we love about this stay
What gets you here is the rare quality of a hotel that feels genuinely woven into its neighborhood rather than dropped onto it. The Source Hotel sits in that sweet spot where Denver's creative energy and urban grit meet something more considered — a design sensibility that's confident but never showy, rooms that feel curated without being precious. There's a quiet thrill in stepping across the street to Great Divide Brewing, then returning to an outdoor pool framed by that enormous Colorado sky, the city humming just beyond the edges. It's a place built for people who want the texture of a real neighborhood, not a sanitized version of one, and that honesty is what lingers.

Very cute hotel! Nicole K. is the night attendant and was able to quickly help change rooms in the middle of the night. She was extremely kind and helpful which was exactly what I needed in that moment. I am so grateful.

The staff was very kind and went above and beyond in extending us a half-night rate when we returned to the hotel, after checking out, due to a cancelled flight. They even got us back into the same room we'd been staying in. The rooftop restaurant offered wonderful food and drinks, and an even better view of the skyline backed by the Rocky Mountains. And the mattress was ~incredibly~ comfortable.
