Excelente, bom atendimento, sanduiche delicioso! Excellent, good service, delicious sandwich! I asked for the "the full monty" it was amazing!

The approach tells you everything. A winding road through the high desert of New Mexico, red rock formations catching the light in ways that shift with the hour, and then the house itself, settled among boulders as though it had always been part of the landscape. Dakota Haus is a private residence built for the kind of stay where the view does most of the work. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame a sweeping panorama of boulder formations and open sky, pulling the desert inside and making the architecture feel less like shelter and more like a vantage point.
The home accommodates up to six guests across three bedrooms, each designed with comfort and clean lines in mind. Living spaces are open and airy, oriented toward the surrounding terrain so that every common area maintains a visual connection to the landscape beyond. A fully equipped kitchen invites long mornings and unhurried meals, while the outdoor spaces extend the living area into the desert air. The hot tub sits among the rocks, offering a place to settle in under wide skies after a day spent exploring. A fire pit provides a natural gathering point once the sun drops and the temperature follows, the kind of setting where conversation tends to slow down and stretch out.
Located along Geronimo Trail in the hills outside Santa Fe, the property occupies a landscape defined by geological drama and desert stillness. The region's art galleries, dining, and cultural landmarks are within reach, but the position of the house encourages a rhythm that favors staying put as much as venturing out. Hiking trails wind through the surrounding terrain, and the drive into Santa Fe connects guests to one of the most distinctive small cities in the American West, a place shaped equally by Native American, Spanish, and contemporary creative cultures.
Dakota Haus is not a resort and makes no attempt to be one. It is a private home with an extraordinary setting, designed for guests who want space, solitude, and a front-row seat to the New Mexico landscape. The feeling it leaves behind is one of scale, the quiet recognition that comes from spending a few days surrounded by rock and sky that have been here far longer than anything else, and will remain long after you leave.

There's a particular quality to a place that sits on five acres of open desert with nothing between you and the boulders but glass — it recalibrates your sense of scale. Dakota Haus doesn't compete with Pioneertown's landscape; it defers to it, using natural stone and wood to blur the line between shelter and terrain. The design is restrained enough that you notice the desert first, the house second, which is exactly the point. What stays with you is the silence — real silence, the kind that makes a fire pit crackle feel like an event and a sky full of stars feel almost theatrical. It's a house built for two bedrooms' worth of people who want to feel genuinely alone with something vast.

Staff was amazing! My husband LOVED the unique "Full Monty" Burger. Food was great and the restaurant is very cute. Definitely a spot I'm going to stop in again the next time we are in South Dakota. They have a small patio outside and nice size bar. No sweet tea though.

Beautiful surroundings!

So lovely and grounding I had to come back for a second stay! There’s just something about the location, the view, the home and that deck… really needed that. If you need a place to let external forces and expectations melt away, you could do no better for the price and pleasantness afforded by the host. I’ll be coming back (hopefully rather soon)!

My husband and I celebrated my 40th here on a secluded weekend. The views are unmatched to any Airbnb we've stayed. This place truly is something special and we would definitely stay again. As other have stated the host is extremely quick and responsive. We had no issues but I'm confident that if we did, it would have been handled properly& promptly. 10/10 recommend.
