Wonderful stay

The approach to Sage Moon sets the tone before you ever step inside. The property sits with the kind of quiet command that comes from elevation and open sightlines, its position offering sweeping views that shift through the day from soft morning haze to golden late-afternoon light. This is a residence designed around the outdoors as much as the interiors, a place where the landscape does most of the talking and the architecture simply frames the conversation.
Inside, the home is warm and considered, with enough space to settle in fully rather than simply pass through. The living areas are comfortable and uncluttered, designed for long evenings and slow mornings. Large windows pull the surrounding views into virtually every room, blurring the line between shelter and sky. The kitchen is well-equipped for guests who prefer to cook at their own pace, and the dining space accommodates gatherings that linger well past the last course. Bedrooms are restful and private, offering the kind of stillness that only distance from the everyday can provide.
But the heart of Sage Moon is unmistakably outside. The hot tub is positioned to take full advantage of the panoramic views, turning an evening soak into something closer to a ritual. Nearby, a fire pit anchors the outdoor living space, the kind of feature that naturally draws people together after dark. Whether you are watching the last light slip behind the ridgeline or sitting under a sky dense with stars, the outdoor areas here feel intentional and generous. These are not afterthoughts or additions. They are the reason you come.
Sage Moon is the sort of property that rewards guests who arrive with little planned and no rush to leave. Days here tend to organize themselves around the light, the weather, and the shifting moods of the surrounding terrain. You cook when you are hungry. You walk when the air feels right. You pour something good and sit outside simply because there is nowhere better to be. It is a residence that asks very little of you and, in return, gives back something increasingly rare: unhurried time, open views, and the particular pleasure of a place that feels entirely your own.

There's a particular tension at Sage Moon that makes it hard to leave — the crispness of Scandinavian design set against the wild, unmanicured sprawl of the Pioneertown desert. It's a home that doesn't fight its landscape but opens itself entirely to it, with glass doors that dissolve the boundary between curated interiors and the sage-scented air outside. The sandy palette feels earned, not decorative, as if the desert simply walked in and settled into the furniture. What stays with you is the quiet drama of the place: the cowboy pool and hot tub feel less like amenities and more like natural extensions of the terrain, and evenings around the fire pit carry the particular weight of a sky that hasn't forgotten how to be dark. It's a property for people who want their solitude designed well.

Wonderful stay

Sage Moon was the best possible place we could have stayed in Pioneertown. It was beautifully appointed and the outdoor environs were breathtaking. It is completely silent and the whole time we were hanging out there (almost always outside), we saw like 2 cars go by. Super private and serene. You can see houses in the distance but really didn't see any humans around their houses. The host was perfectly communicative and we were able to tack on an additional day to our trip with no problem at all. It was too amazing. We didn't want to leave.

We had the perfect weekend stay! The location was exactly what we were looking for while in town for a show at Pappy & Harriet’s-close to PioneerTown but still so peaceful & just the right amount of remoteness. The home is even better than the photos, cozy & so cute. We can’t wait to stay again! <br/>-Sandra & Francis
