Awesome place to stay. Location is great, the house is wonderful, and the communication was top notch. Highly recommend!

A low-slung desert residence painted in dusty rose, Mojave Rosa sits where the built world thins out and the landscape takes over. The property announces itself quietly, its warm-toned exterior softened by the kind of light that only arrives in wide-open, arid terrain. This is not a grand resort or a polished boutique hotel. It is a home, and it feels like one, with the kind of ease that comes from thoughtful design and a genuine understanding of what draws people to the desert in the first place.
Inside, the spaces are bright and uncluttered, with furnishings that balance comfort and desert-appropriate style. The layout accommodates small groups and families without feeling crowded, offering the kind of flexible living space where mornings stretch long and no one is in a hurry. But the real draw at Mojave Rosa lives outdoors. A cowboy tub, the property's signature feature, sits under open sky, offering a distinctly Western ritual of soaking in hot water while the desert spreads out in every direction. A separate hot tub provides a more conventional option, and a newly added fire pit anchors the outdoor gathering space, creating a natural focal point for evenings spent watching the light fade and the stars sharpen overhead. Together, these elements form a simple but deeply satisfying outdoor sequence: heat, sky, fire, silence.
The surrounding Mojave landscape shapes the rhythm of any stay here. Days tend to follow the sun, beginning early with cool mornings and settling into long, warm afternoons that invite stillness. The terrain itself is the primary attraction, offering the particular emptiness and beauty that desert travelers seek. Whether guests spend their time exploring nearby trails and desert roads or simply reading in the shade, the property serves as a grounding home base that feels connected to, rather than insulated from, its environment.
Mojave Rosa is the kind of place where the experience is defined less by what is provided and more by what is stripped away. No noise, no agenda, no performance. Just warm water under a wide sky, a fire crackling after dark, and the distinct feeling that you arrived at exactly the right place at exactly the right time.

There's a particular kind of stillness that 2.5 acres of open desert offers — not emptiness, but spaciousness, the feeling that the landscape is holding you rather than hemming you in. Mojave Rosa leans into that with intention, orienting almost everything outward: a cowboy tub for floating under wide sky, a stargazing bed for lying back into the dark, a fire pit for letting conversation drift without walls to contain it. It's a place designed around the desert as participant, not scenery. What lingers is how the property quietly insists you stay outside — and how willingly you do.

We visited this beautiful place for a few days from the UK while we were touring California for our honeymoon, and wow! This place is absolutely stunning, in a truly beautiful area with lots of cute shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The views, especially first thing in the morning and at sunset, were truly breathtaking. The place is immaculately clean, superbly decorated and there were lots of perfect little touches (clear instructions, local recommendations, plug sockets near both of the bedsides). We used the cowboy tub and the swings and it was just so lovely! If you are thinking of booking this place, you absolutely must - it was the highlight of our honeymoon, and if we ever return to Joshua Tree we would book this place again in a heartbeat. Thanks again so much!
