A serene escape in the heart of Yucca Valley

My wife and I stayed here at the Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center for this past New Year's Eve. She and I always do a First Day Hike on New Year's Day, and we like to change it up each year and not do the same place twice. We have stayed at other OH lodges, including Salt Fork and Hocking Hills. And, we liked the idea of a lodge environment to stay the night, happily Deer Creek Lodge served that purpose well for us. Our room was great, comfortable, and met our needs for the night. The bed was comfy and gave us the rest that we needed to prepare for our hike. Initially we planned to spend some time at the bar in the lodge however, after venturing out to some local pubs and taverns for the night, we didn't get back to the lodge until much later than what she and I both expected! We spent the morning having our coffee by the large stone fireplace and doing some shopping at the on site gift shop (which we were happy was open on New Year's Day) upon checking out we proceed our for an afternoon of hiking in the park. We both ejoyed every moment here and will return again.

Great stay at Deer Creek! I was a little concerned with several bad reviews but we enjoyed our stay. Lodge and rooms were clean. There were areas being renovated. Pool/hot tub were crowded as it was a holiday weekend, but our kids still enjoyed it. Water was warm and comfortable for them to swim indoors despite it being below zero outside. Pool area appeared to be recently renovated and was clean with plenty of chairs for parents. All in all, a nice state park lodge that was kid friendly.

Great getaway from the city life. It was a bit tucked in the Inland Empire but served its purpose with disconnecting and had plenty of amenities to keep us occupied and entertained. It offered many amenities like the pool table, full kitchen, pool, fireplace, jacuzzi, and grille. It was a bit too hot when we went for the pool so bring sunscreen if you plan to go for a swim. Some additional shading in the pool area would be beneficial but it did not stop us from taking a quick dip. Everything was clean and organized. Only downside was the limitation of music on the outside due to noise restrictions from the city. We did not have any issues with this as we allocated time to just enjoy the outdoors with conversation. Detailed instructions allowed for easy entry and the host answered all questions promptly. Would recommend for family and friend getaways.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful home! Check-in was smooth, and the host was incredibly responsive, providing clear instructions and helpful information throughout our stay.<br/>The house is spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. The beds and linens were exceptionally comfortable—so much so that I asked the host where to find them!<br/>One of my favorite parts was the backyard view—it’s peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The pool and hot tub were clean and easy to operate, making our stay feel like a true getaway.<br/>The location is also fantastic—close to shopping, restaurants, and the National Park.<br/>Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay!
