The rental was lovely and the location was great. I would definitely stay there again.

There is a particular quality to a home that has been dressed with intention rather than obligation. At Maison de Jasmine — Suite B, you sense it the moment you step inside: a warmth that feels both curated and lived-in, where French-inspired details meet a calm, unhurried domesticity. The suite occupies its own private space within the larger property, offering the intimacy of a boutique guesthouse with the comfort of a well-appointed residence. Clean lines, soft textiles, and a restrained palette give the interiors a sense of lightness, while thoughtful touches throughout suggest a host who understands the difference between luxury and care.
The suite itself is designed around ease. A spacious bedroom anchors the space, outfitted with quality linens and a sense of quiet order. The kitchen is fully equipped for those mornings when you would rather brew your own coffee than seek it out, and the living area invites the kind of slow afternoons that rarely make it onto an itinerary. Natural light moves generously through the rooms, lending a warmth that shifts with the hours. The bathroom carries the same considered approach, with fixtures and finishes that feel chosen rather than installed. It is a space that rewards presence, where comfort does not depend on spectacle.
Outdoors, the property extends the same sensibility. Shared garden spaces and seating areas encourage time spent outside, whether you are reading in the shade or simply letting the afternoon settle around you. The pace here is deliberately gentle. There is no lobby, no concierge desk, no orchestrated arrival. Instead, you are welcomed into a space that trusts you to find your own rhythm within it.
Maison de Jasmine — Suite B is the kind of stay that resists easy categorization. It is not a hotel, not quite a rental, but something closer to being a guest in a home where every detail has been considered on your behalf. You leave not with the memory of a grand gesture, but with something quieter and more lasting: the sense of having been somewhere that simply felt right.

What strikes you first is the tension between old and new — a second-floor suite in Cannonborough/Elliotborough that feels genuinely rooted in Charleston's architectural soul while quietly insisting on modern comfort. The spaces are generous, designed for groups who actually want to spend time together but also retreat behind their own doors at the end of the night, each bedroom with its own bathroom, its own sense of privacy. The kitchen feels like an invitation rather than an afterthought, the kind of place where someone will inevitably start cooking with whatever they found at a local market. And the neighborhood itself matters here — you're close enough to King Street's energy to walk there in ten minutes, but removed enough that the suite feels like a genuine residence, not a staging area for tourism. It's the kind of place that rewards the traveler who wants Charleston to feel lived-in, not just visited.

Great place! Super cute and clean. My only complaint would be the parking area. You get two parking spots but we weren’t told how tight it was and we weren’t able to maneuver our large truck into the small spots. It’s definitely meant for compact cars and small SUVs. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

Highly recommend this place as one to stay. Great location making many aspects of downtown Charleston walkable. The home gives you a cozy feel by preserving some of the original styling with a mix of modern amenities. Will plan on more stays in the future!

Loved our stay. Our host was extremely responsive, helpful and went out of the way to help. The unit was very well appointed, clean, comfortable and as advertised. I would definitely stay there again. Fantastic!
