We enjoyed a nice quiet birthday at Botanicals. The space was enjoyable and relaxing. Truly the perfect get away from the city!

The front door opens and the air shifts. Botanicals By The Cohost Company is a residence designed around the living presence of plants, a space where natural textures, warm light, and carefully chosen greenery create an atmosphere that feels less like a rental and more like a home cultivated over years. The interiors balance clean, modern lines with organic softness, every surface considered, every corner given something worth noticing. It is a place that invites slowness from the moment you step inside.
The layout is designed for both gathering and solitude. Living areas are open and unhurried, furnished with an eye for comfort and visual calm. The kitchen is fully equipped for proper cooking, a space that encourages you to bring ingredients home and take your time with a meal. Bedrooms are quiet retreats within the retreat, dressed in soft linens and surrounded by the botanical touches that give the property its name. Natural materials, muted palettes, and the steady company of greenery run through every room, creating a sense of continuity that makes the whole residence feel cohesive rather than curated.
What sets Botanicals apart is its attention to atmosphere without excess. There are no grand gestures here, no overwrought design statements. Instead, the details are the kind you notice on a second or third look: the way a plant is placed beside a reading chair, the quality of the towels, the warmth of the lighting at dusk. It is a residence that rewards presence, that asks you to settle in rather than simply check in. Whether you spend your days exploring the surrounding area or choose to stay in, the rhythm of the space accommodates both impulses with equal grace.
You leave Botanicals feeling like you have borrowed someone's most considered version of home. The plants remain, the light keeps shifting through the windows, and the quiet stays with you a little longer than expected.

There's a particular kind of quiet that five acres of open desert affords—not emptiness, but spaciousness, the kind that makes your thinking slower and your breathing deeper. Botanicals operates in that register. The interiors lean contemporary but never fight the landscape; neutral tones and soft textures defer to the sandy palette outside the windows, so the whole place feels like one continuous threshold between inside and out. It's solar-powered, which feels less like a talking point and more like a natural extension of a property that clearly respects where it sits. What lingers, though, is the night sky—a genuine dark sky location where stars aren't a backdrop but the main event, visible from the hot tub or the fire pit with an immediacy that's hard to replicate closer to civilization.

Fantastic stay! The home was comfortable and fit our group of six perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable, and everyone slept great.
We made full use of the well-stocked kitchen; it had everything we needed in terms of amenities.
The pool was a huge hit. We didn’t think we’d need the heating feature, but it ended up being a lifesaver. It kept the water perfectly warm, even through the chilly evenings. One thing to note, as mentioned in the listing, the outside gets extremely dark at night. We brought a few extra lanterns of our own, which came in handy.
The property itself is beautiful all around, and the bocce ball court was another favorite activity. The location was convenient and close to everything we needed.
The host was incredibly responsive, just a text or call away any time we had a question.
Highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting Joshua Tree. I’ll definitely continue booking with this company in the future!

This location was absolutely breathtaking. The location makes you feel like you’re the only one around. There are a few houses near by, but far enough away to not notice them and you can’t even see them at night.
Lots to do! From bocce, golf, games and the best of all, the pool. We didn’t end up using the jacuzzi.
Perfect place for going on an evening desert walk. Plenty of property to explore. Close to stores and restaurants.
I’d definitely go back here again!

Had a great stay in the valley with the family when other vacation plans fell through due to the hurricane’s. Our host was great, very responsive whenever we needed anything. The house was clean, accurately described and had great amenities. We enjoyed star gazing at night since we had great visibility, we saw multiple shooting stars throughout our stay! Would recommend limitless desert solutions anytime.
