Easy to check in, quiet and really nice place for a little quiet retreat

The structures arrive like something between architecture and sculpture. Rounded walls, layered ridges left by the printing process, and a softness of form that feels less built than grown from the landscape itself. 3D JT is a collection of 3D-printed tiny homes set against the spare, sun-bleached terrain of the Joshua Tree desert, where the experimental meets the genuinely livable in a way that few properties anywhere can claim.
Each home carries a distinct character. The units are compact by design but generous in intention, with interiors that balance minimalist form against the warmth of curated furnishings. The printed concrete walls bear the visible striations of their making, horizontal lines that catch light differently as the day shifts. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors open sightlines to the surrounding desert, blurring the threshold between shelter and sky. The homes are arranged to feel private, each oriented to create its own pocket of solitude while remaining part of the larger compound.
The shared grounds anchor the experience beyond the individual homes. A pool offers relief from the high-desert heat, its clean geometry set against the organic texture of the landscape. A spa area provides a place to unwind after long days spent exploring the surrounding terrain. Together, these communal spaces create a natural rhythm for the stay, morning swims giving way to quiet afternoons and evenings that gather around the desert's extraordinary stillness. The property manages to feel both remote and considered, with the essentials of comfort thoughtfully embedded into a setting that resists overdesign.
3D JT is a property defined by its process as much as its place. The 3D-printed construction is not a gimmick layered onto a conventional stay but the fundamental identity of the experience, visible in every wall, every curve, every textured surface. To spend time here is to inhabit a question about how we might build differently, asked not in a gallery or a lecture hall but in the honest context of sleeping, waking, and watching the sun move across a desert floor. The homes are small. The sky is not.

There's something disarming about a place that feels both experimental and deeply quiet. These 3D-printed pods in Yucca Valley sit at a strange, satisfying intersection—architecturally forward but emotionally unhurried, as if someone built the future and then deliberately slowed it down. At 350 square feet each, they don't try to be expansive; instead, large windows do the work, pulling the desert so close it almost becomes the room itself. The isolation here isn't loneliness—it's permission. You settle into the hot tub with nothing but Joshua trees and open sky, and the silence starts to feel like the actual amenity. It's a stay that suits people who want less noise, not more luxury, and who find that the most memorable nights are the ones spent under an absurdly star-filled sky with nowhere else to be.

We had an amazing stay at this Yucca Valley home near Joshua Tree! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The location is perfect—close to Joshua Tree National Park yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet under the desert stars. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making sure our stay was smooth from check-in to check-out. We especially loved the hot tub, fire pit, and views. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting near Joshua Tree—we’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cool 3D-printed house near Joshua Tree. The location is super convenient, and the views are absolutely beautiful—especially during sunset. The house itself is modern, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.
There were a couple of small things around the house that I mentioned to the property manager when we checked out, and I hope they got taken care of.
Overall, it was a great experience. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
