What we love about this stay
Don't rush your first morning—take your coffee out to the patio before anyone else is up. The river sounds different at dawn, quieter and more deliberate, and the light through the trees is worth losing ten minutes of sleep for. Stock up at the Old Mill District before you settle in; the kitchen here is genuinely well-equipped, and cooking a proper meal with the windows open to the river feels like the whole point. Save the hot tub for after dark—stars are unobstructed, and the contrast of cold air and warm water is the kind of thing you'll remember longer than any restaurant. Skip the urge to over-schedule. Great place for a family of 4 to land for a month. We loved the seclusion of the neighborhood, as well as the fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, grill, and lawn games. The house is very well decorated with plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Overall, we would highly recommend, especially if you want to stay more in the "country" of Bend but still be 20 mins from downtown.<br/>Two things would make this home outstanding: dressers and kids hangers in each bedroom (it was hard not having these for a long stay), and better pillows (while there were around 30 bed pillows to choose from, they were all the same firm poly fill and not that comfortable—would've liked more options considering how many extras there were).
