Hotel 1000 occupies a stretch of First Avenue where downtown Seattle meets the waterfront, positioning you between the city's creative pulse and the calm of Elliott Bay. The building's architecture is contemporary and deliberate, with clean lines and floor-to-ceiling windows that pull in views of Puget Sound and the surrounding cityscape. Inside, the lobby sets an immediate tone: art-forward, modern, and warm without pretense. This is an LXR Hotels & Resorts property that leans into innovation as naturally as it leans into comfort, threading smart technology throughout its design in ways that feel intuitive rather than overwrought.
The 120 guest rooms and suites are spacious by urban hotel standards, each outfitted with a sensor system that detects occupancy for housekeeping, infrared bathroom panels to prevent mirror fogging, and in-room technology that adapts to your preferences. But the rooms are far from cold or clinical. Rich textures, deep soaking tubs, and wide views keep the experience grounded in physical pleasure. Many rooms look out over the water or the city skyline, and suites expand into generous living areas suited for longer stays or evenings spent watching ferries glide across the Sound.
Downstairs, the hotel's restaurant and bar anchor the social life of the property. The dining program draws on Pacific Northwest ingredients and a seafood-forward sensibility shaped by Seattle's proximity to some of the best oyster beds, fish markets, and farms in the country. The bar program complements the kitchen with craft cocktails and a wine list that nods heavily to Washington State's acclaimed vineyards. Beyond dining, a virtual golf experience offers a surprisingly compelling diversion, featuring digitally rendered courses played on full-swing simulators that attract both serious golfers and curious newcomers. A well-appointed fitness center and spa round out the on-property offerings, providing a quiet counterpoint to the energy of the public spaces.
Location is one of Hotel 1000's most persuasive qualities. Pike Place Market sits just a short walk north, with its legendary fish throwers, flower stalls, and the original Starbucks drawing a daily pilgrimage. The Seattle Art Museum is steps away, Pioneer Square's galleries cluster to the south, and the waterfront itself has been transformed in recent years into a more open, pedestrian-friendly stretch of parks and piers. You are also within easy reach of the ferry terminal, connecting you to Bainbridge Island and the wider Puget Sound for day trips that feel like they belong to a different world entirely.
What stays with you after a night or several at Hotel 1000 is the way the property manages to feel both distinctly of Seattle and distinctly its own. It is a hotel that respects the intelligence of its guests, offering innovation without spectacle and comfort without excess. The city hums just outside the door, but the rooms hold a stillness that makes returning each evening feel less like retreating and more like arriving somewhere you already know.

What we love about this stay
Hotel 1000 occupies a particular frequency in downtown Seattle — urbane without being showy, polished without losing warmth. There's a quiet confidence to it, the kind of place where the lobby hum feels curated rather than accidental, and the rooms frame a genuinely compelling tension between city energy and the stillness of Puget Sound beyond. It suits the traveler who wants to be in the thick of Seattle — Pike Place, the Art Museum, all of it steps away — but who also needs a door that closes on all that noise convincingly. The oyster bar, All Water, feels like a natural extension of the city's relationship with the Pacific rather than a bolted-on restaurant concept. And the virtual golf is an unexpectedly playful detail for a property that otherwise takes its sophistication seriously. What stays with you isn't any single grand gesture but the sense that someone thought carefully about how each hour here should feel.

High tech yet very comfortable with a well trained and friendly staff. Many unique design elements that add to the experience. The onsite restaurant is superb-- do not miss the truffle fries.

Location, style and size. The style is contemporary without being cold. The location was close to my business meeting, yet I walked to the Mariner's game the night before and to the galleries after.

Great room, really interesting HD TV tuned to a set of beautiful video clips, great bathroom. Great linens on the very comfortable bed. Staff were absolutely the best. Very fast internet, free calls over a Cisco VoIP phone anywhere in US.
