When these policies apply

These policies apply through the acceptance process or effective-date notice described in each document. Material changes for existing members take effect only after the required notice and, where required, renewed acceptance. Previously confirmed bookings retain their accepted terms. Publication alone does not authorize a subscription, charge, optional data sharing or marketing.

These supplemental terms apply when you expressly enable Journey Concierge AI, Journey Threads or a successor-named personal assistant feature. They supplement the Journey Terms & Conditions at journey.com/terms; the Privacy Policy at journey.com/privacy explains processing. We ask you to accept these terms on first enablement. Enabling the assistant is optional and does not itself purchase Legend, connect an external account, designate a Trusted Contact, or authorize payments.

1. What the service does

Depending on the capabilities enabled for you, the service may research options, answer questions, organize requests, retain permitted preferences, draft content, communicate through Threads and supported channels, and assist with authorized actions. Some tasks may involve Journey staff, an identified partner or third-party tools rather than AI alone. We will identify material handoffs and intended recipients where needed for an informed decision.

Features may vary by membership, location, integration and release. Describing a possible capability here does not mean it is currently enabled or promised. The assistant is not an emergency service, licensed professional, insurer or guarantor of another business's performance. It cannot guarantee availability, price, a booking, a successful action or an outcome. A suggested itinerary, draft, research result or booking link is not a confirmed transaction.

2. Your inputs and outputs

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information and instructions you provide and for having authority to use connected accounts, payment methods and other people's information. Only provide sensitive information through an appropriate requested secure feature. Do not place passwords, authentication codes or full payment credentials into a conversation.

You retain rights you hold in your inputs and may use outputs subject to law, third-party rights and these terms. AI outputs may be similar to other users' outputs and may not qualify for exclusive intellectual-property protection. Journey retains its software and tools. You license private material only for the service purposes described in the general terms and Privacy Policy; these terms do not make a private thread public or grant permission to train third-party general-purpose models on it.

AI can misunderstand instructions, hallucinate facts, misidentify recipients, omit restrictions or make tool errors. Review important outputs, prices, dates, identity details and action summaries. Obtain professional advice where needed. Do not rely on AI for medical emergencies, legal status, financial decisions or other high-stakes determinations. Your review responsibility does not excuse Journey from its own legal duties or responsibility for a failure to follow the authorization it accepted.

3. Connected accounts and personal AI integrations

Each connection requires an identified scope and your separate authorization. A connection may permit reading, indexing or transferring designated information, or an expressly enabled action. Read-only permission does not authorize writes. Signing into Journey or enabling Concierge does not authorize access to your entire email, calendar, files, address book or another provider's account. You must be entitled to grant the requested permission under that provider's rules.

You can revoke a connection through the available settings or support process and, where applicable, at the external provider. Revocation stops future access after the request is processed but does not automatically undo completed actions, recall messages or erase lawfully retained copies. You may separately request deletion under the Privacy Policy. We may retain limited action, consent, security and transaction records where required or justified by law.

If you connect an external AI assistant to Journey through an approved interface, it receives only the permissions expressly granted. Data sent to that provider is subject to its own terms and privacy practices. A connection token is not permission for unrelated transactions, payments or onward sharing. We may limit or disable tools to protect safety, privacy, security and legal compliance.

4. Authorization for actions

You authorize only an action you expressly request or that falls within a specific, recorded preauthorization you deliberately configure, including its scope, recipient, spending cap if applicable and duration. A broad instruction such as "plan my trip" or acceptance of these terms does not authorize purchasing, cancelling, sending sensitive information, changing security permissions or accepting an unrelated contract.

Before a consequential action, the service must obtain the required specific approval or verify that a valid, sufficiently precise preauthorization covers it. Material changes in price, recipient, cancellation terms or scope require renewed approval. An available action confirmation should identify the supplier, material terms, amount and currency, intended recipient and information to be shared. You remain responsible for the consequences of instructions and approvals you validly give, as if you gave them directly, subject to Journey's own obligations and mandatory rights.

Where an enabled tool is expressly authorized to submit a transaction or communication for you, you grant the limited authority necessary to transmit that approved instruction and accept the specifically disclosed transaction terms. This is not a general power of attorney, authority over every account, or permission to waive rights unrelated to the task. Unless expressly agreed and legally required, Journey does not undertake a broader fiduciary or advisory role. No standing authority permits a prohibited or unlawful action.

Payments use the designated secure checkout or separately authorized payment mechanism. Chat permission does not override bank, app-store or processor authentication. The transaction's actual supplier and merchant of record control the relevant roles; Journey does not categorically disclaim being a party when it is the identified merchant. Separate booking, supplier, cancellation and refund terms apply.

We may refuse, pause or request clarification for an action. A timeout, pending status or missing response is not evidence of failure or cancellation; verify the external confirmation before trying again to avoid duplicates. Actions may be irreversible. A completion statement should be checked against the actual receipt or provider record; notify us promptly of discrepancies.

5. Trusted Contacts and delegated access

If Journey enables Trusted Contacts, the feature lets you invite a specified person and grant particular permissions. The invitation must identify the person, accessible information, allowed tasks and duration. The invited contact must complete required identity checks and acceptance before access. Adding someone to your device contacts, mentioning them in chat, or being a spouse, family member, assistant, beneficiary or fellow traveler does not automatically authorize account access.

Permissions are limited to what the feature records, such as viewing a selected itinerary, coordinating a particular request or participating in a shared thread. They do not automatically include spending, new bookings, cancelling reservations, transferring points, changing security settings, exporting your profile or reading unrelated private conversations. Those actions require a separately enabled, explicit grant and any required transaction confirmation. Journey may reject delegation for certain actions even when requested.

You may revoke a contact or reduce permissions using the available controls or by contacting support. Revocation prevents new access after processing but cannot recall information already received or undo a completed authorized action. A contact must act within the grant, protect information and not misrepresent authority. Both the member and contact must have permission to share information about others. You are not automatically liable for conduct outside the recorded grant; each person's responsibility follows their authorization, conduct and law.

A Trusted Contact is not an emergency responder, legal guardian, estate representative or holder of a power of attorney merely because of this designation. We may require separate legal documentation for incapacity, death, minors or legal representation. We do not promise continuous monitoring or emergency intervention. Do not rely on this feature for emergency notification or safety-critical care.

6. Threads, recipients and confidentiality boundaries

A private member-Journey thread, a partner service thread and a shared/group thread have different audiences. Before adding a partner or contact, review which messages, attachments and profile fields will be shared. Adding a participant does not authorize disclosure of unrelated conversation history; any historical material to be shared must be within the expressly disclosed scope. Recipients may retain or onward-share material under their own obligations; do not include information you lack authority to disclose.

Partner staff receive information necessary for the authorized partner relationship, not an automatic view of global Journey history or connected accounts. Private staff notes are not automatically member-visible, and a staff note does not authorize wider disclosure of your private material. Journey may process relevant preferences for personalization and lawful offer targeting under the Privacy Policy; sensitive data and private thread contents are not a default marketing feed. Human support and authorized service providers may review material as necessary for service, safety, troubleshooting or compliance, with appropriate access controls.

7. Messaging, follow-ups and prohibited uses

Enabling a conversation is not consent to unlimited proactive or promotional contact. Requested reminders and follow-ups use the purpose, channel and frequency disclosed when enabled, subject to revocation and messaging law. Marketing requires its own applicable permission. Supported channels may include in-app Threads, email, SMS or other identified messaging providers, each with availability and privacy limits.

Do not use the assistant to impersonate others, conceal automation where disclosure is required, send unlawful bulk messages, evade paywalls or security controls, engage in fraud, manipulate benefits, access others' data without authority, facilitate harmful or age-restricted conduct unlawfully, or make high-stakes decisions about another person's rights without lawful authority and meaningful human review. Do not instruct it to bypass required confirmations or third-party terms. We may log, block and investigate suspected misuse consistent with the Privacy Policy.

8. Memory, retention, changes and ending use

Where enabled, the assistant may retain preferences, task context and information you save to provide continuity. Review and correct important remembered information. Deleting a conversation, removing a memory and disconnecting a source are distinct operations; available controls and the Privacy Policy explain their effects. We do not promise every requested action can be reversed or every third-party copy deleted.

You may disable the assistant without cancelling your underlying Journey membership. Disabling may stop pending tasks but does not cancel a completed booking, sent message or separate subscription. We may change integrations or capabilities, and suspend unsafe or unlawful activity, subject to accepted paid-service commitments and notice obligations. We will not silently expand a connection's permission scope by updating these terms.

The general Terms & Conditions govern warranties, liability, disputes and applicable arbitration, preserving mandatory rights. No blanket waiver makes you responsible for every unauthorized action regardless of Journey's fault. For action errors or account safety issues, contact [email protected] promptly; for privacy requests, contact [email protected]. These channels are not emergency services.
